APPLES 'n PORK CHOPS
Recipe courtesy of HollysHints.com
 use Applesauce or Apples....

INGREDIENTS:

4 pork chops (we like to use the boneless loin, 1" thick ones)

1 T olive oil

1 large apple sliced up thin
or ¾ c applesauce

3 T soy sauce (we like Kikkoman Lite)

1/8 t onion granules (or powder)

DIRECTIONS:

1)  Preheat oven to 350 °

2)  Brown chops on both sides in the heated olive oil.

3)  Put the chops in a shallow baking dish.
OR  see HINTS below on how we use foil.

4)  Combine the last 3 ingredients

5)  Pour this mixture over the chops

6) Cover & Bake at 350° for 40 minutes

7) Remove cover & bake 15 minutes more, or until chops are tender.

Holly's Hint:  - It’s easy to increase this one for more chops.

- Using a large piece of heavy duty foil - we lay the browned chops on it.
Then pour the apple mixture over them.  Carefully wrap the chops, & tightly seal the foil.
You can then cook them in a covered gas or charcoal grill or
use your oven by putting the wrapped chops on a cookie sheet & baking as directed above.
