Fried Green Tomatoes

  Use as an appetizer, or veggie with a meal
 

DIRECTIONS:

Slice the tomatoes about 1/2 inch thick. Dip in beaten eggs, then dip in cornmeal. Best flavor is to fry them in a little lard but a thin layer of vegetable oil or olive oil will do. And salt & pepper them while they're frying.

If  you don't like cornmeal, use flour.
