ALERT !

Your clothes dryer is a FIRE HAZARD

The lint DOES get through the screen and slowly builds up along the walls of the vent from the screen to the outside opening.  Clean it at least once a year!  This packed down lint can easily become over heated & combust into a fire!  Remove the lint screen - then place your crevice tool on your vacuum wand end and vacuum as far down and around the dryer drum & the vent pipe opening all the way to the outside vent.  Then remove the back vent tube or accordion plastic tube and thoroughly clean that out.  I replace the plastic accordion tube because it is cheap to buy and it's hard to clean out all those creases and folds.

Additional HINT:

Do NOT run the dryer when you are NOT at home.
